GAPP
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid program that provides in-home skilled nursing care and personal care support services to medically fragile children under the age of 21 in the state of Georgia. It’s administered by the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH).
Goals:
- To deliver in-home skilled nursing care and/or personal care support services based on a medical necessity assessment for qualified children.
- To ensure the quality of services provided meets the individual medical needs of each child. Physician orders are required for all services.
- To empower caregivers of these children by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary for their child’s care.
Katie Beckett Waiver Program
The Katie Beckett Waiver Program is a Medicaid program for young adults and children (up to age 21) with disabilities. Unlike traditional Medicaid, it doesn’t consider the income of parents or spouses when determining eligibility.
