Transfer to ACP

The Transfer Process


  1. Family contacts the new agency (ACP)
  2. ACP meets with family and gathers paperwork/sign consents
  3. ACP communicates to the current agency of the family’s desire to transfer
  4. ACP submits required paperwork to GAPP or COMP
  5. Current agency submits required paperwork to GAPP or COMP
  6. ALL GAPP TRANSFERS HAPPEN on the 1st of the MONTH. So, the process can take anywhere from 3 to 30 days from when the family met with the new agency
  7. COMP and Private Insurance transfers can happen at any time, therefore the process time can be as little as a week
