The 14th Annual FCDSA Buddy Walk took place on March 23, 2019 and the ACP Family made sure to be in attendance to this very special event!

The Buddy Walk, introduced in 1995, was a major breakthrough in promoting the acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down Syndrome. There were 17 walks in 1995 and over 250 today!

National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) affiliate group leaders, self-advocates, and the ACP Family attended to the 14th Annual FCDSA Buddy Walk in Florida to give love, support, and total strength to families, children and all people with Down Syndrome.

“The leading human rights organization for all individuals with
Down Syndrome”

This quote embodies the essence of the NDSS website to explore more about this spirited non-profit organization that envisions a world in which all people with Down Syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations and become valued members of welcoming communities.

And last but not least, do not forget to check it out this amazing video that celebrates 40 years of the National Down Syndrome Society and highlights the accomplishments of people from our community who were not held back by these perceived limitations.
